The Tomb Crew (London, UK) remix turns the original into a funky Dubstep tune, while Ckrono (Firenze, Italy) gets it to the Cumbia! Big brazilian fundraiser in London: Club Popozuda presents a special for Survival International and their campaign to protect the Guarani tribal people of Brazil on friday 24th at Floripa (London) featuring Isa GT, Smutlee and The Bumps. Tropical party vibes, including plenty of brazilian Baile Funk, Samba and Tecnobrega with Cumbia, Kuduro, Kwaito, Dancehall, Moombahton and much more!!

The Guarani were one of the first peoples contacted after Europeans arrived in South America around 500 years ago. In Brazil, there are today around 46,000 Guarani living in seven states, making them the country’s most numerous tribe. Many others live in neighbouring Paraguay, Bolivia and 
Argentina.Today, this manifests itself in a more tragic way: profoundly affected by the loss of almost all their land in the last century, the Guarani suffer a wave of suicide unequalled in South America.

Today, Lowup Records from Brussels (Belgium) drops the first release ever! Label founder DJ Mellow impresses with “Belgica Esta Picao”, a bouncy Global Bass beat, combining a huge rhythm section and nice synths with a creative use of the vocal – esta picao!! Sabbo from Tel Aviv (Israel) turns it into a deep and dubby, but meaty remix. Barcelona (Spain) based duo Los Chicos Altos press the track ahead with a remix, not far from Reggae- and Dancehall-vibes, with a lovely “Bum Bum Tschak”-offbeat. From Lowup co-resident Max Le Daron comes a smooth and dubby hip-hop and south american rythms blend. In the spring of 2008, Lowup introduced Brussels to the concept of dangerous and tropical nightclubbing.This monthly allnighter quickly became renowned for its fundamentally eclectic approach, with both residents DJ Mellow and Max Le Daron beside guest dj’s meticulously combining the most upfront and energetic pieces of contemporary dance music from all over the world into a bass-driven whirlwind of rhythms and chants.Led by this energy and with the statement of the lack of labels connecting all those vibes, they decided to start their own music-label, Lowup Records.
